Coming this Spring

May 5th to be more precise. Everything is still very early, so I'm reminding myself that nothing is guaranteed at this point. I'm still spotting, though, so they did an ultrasound yesterday and said everything looks as good as it can at this point.

*I realize that this will sound strange considering the fact I've just posted this on a public forum, but this isn't something that I want to be "public knowledge" in my department at this point. So, if you know me IRL, I would be most grateful if you helped me keep it this way for a while.

Congratulations! I thought about coming here to ask how the baby dancing was coming along, but that seemed really way too weird and personal, even for me with my lack of boundaries! LOL! In any case, I've been wishing you luck, and now I'm wishing you health and much joy! May babies ROCK!!! (I'm an academic. September is the official month of getting pregnant in academia, right? My youngest? May 28). There must be some version of Onward, Dissertating Soldier we could craft for this, right? I wonder if people outside the profession realize how crazy we all are about scheduling. I told my husband, "well, it is a totally far out notion, but if we got pregnant THIS WEEKEND..." and it was meant to be.

The diss will happen, too. Moms rock.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone! They are truly much needed and much appreciated these days as the regular hormones and the extra progesterone are in full swing. We go for another ultrasound on Thursday, and we're praying for a heartbeat :)

Congratulations! If it makes you feel any better, I'm dealing with the crazy hormones and extra progesterone, as well! (And the PhD studies!)
